Striking Alabama coal miners hit streets of NYC.

Striking Alabama coal digger Mike Wright says laborers at Warrior Met Coal are accepting their calls for reasonable compensation and advantages to the NYC central command of their organization's greatest financial backer: BlackRock.

500 striking coal diggers at Warrior Met Coal and allies mobilized at the NYC central command of BlackRock, the organization's greatest financial backer, on July 28. More than 1,000 diggers have been on an uncalled for work practice strike since April 1.

It's been four months since more than 1,000 association coal diggers at Warrior Met Coal in Brookwood, Alabama, protested to request a reasonable agreement that incorporates better compensation, benefits, and more opportunity for laborers to go through with their families. Confronted with resoluteness from the organization and expanding aggression on the picket line, a procession of striking diggers and their allies returned to New York City to voice their requests and hold a meeting on July 28 before the NYC base camp of BlackRock, the world's biggest resource supervisor and Warrior Met's greatest financial backer. In this TRNN report, part of our continuous series "Landmark Brookwood," we give a report on the strike and hear straightforwardly from striking digger Mike Wright.
